Our Adaptive Dance Classes give kids, teens, and young adults a sensory-friendly space to express themselves through dance. These classes are fun, inclusive, and full of rhythm, creativity, and confidence. Come dance, groove, and celebrate what makes you unique!

Classes are open for teens and young adults ages 13–30.

Attendance to all sessions is not required, but strongly encouraged.

Please note: If you need to cancel your registration, we kindly ask that you notify our staff and volunteer team as soon as possible—ideally at least 24 hours in advance. You can reach us by email at info@autismtree.org or by text at our office line, 619-222-4465.

Because many of our events have waitlists, we also send confirmation text messages one to two days prior to the event to all registered attendees. If we do not receive a response confirming your attendance, we will assume you are unable to attend and may offer your spot to another family.

Providing advance notice allows us to plan more effectively and helps us honor the time, effort, and dedication of our incredible volunteers and community partners who make these events possible. Thank you for your understanding and support.

Out of respect for our volunteers and community partners who dedicate countless hours to leading our program events, failure to contact our team to cancel your registration prior to the event, combined with a no-show at the event, will result in the immediate removal of your registration from all Autism Tree (AT) program events for three months from the date of the missed event.

Lego Playgroup (04/11/2026)

The Autism Tree LEGO Playgroup Program provides parents, children with ASD, and siblings an opportunity to interact in an innovative and meaningful way. All ages are welcome to attend!

Please note: Because many of our events have waitlists, we will send confirmation text messages to all registered attendees a day or two before the event. If we do not receive a reply within 24 hours, we will assume you are unable to attend, and your spot will be offered to another family.

Girls in STEM Workshop (04/11/2026)

The Autism Tree Girls in STEM Program works to empower girls of all ages to confidently explore the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) in a welcoming and low-pressure environment.

At each event, we explore a new area of STEM through engaging, hands-on activities. Some of our past projects include building paper roller coasters, constructing functional hand models, designing 3D bubble wands, and creating intricate Rube Goldberg machines.

All ages are invited!

We’re excited to share that we have a limited number of tickets available for an upcoming San Diego Padres vs. Seattle Mariners game: Tuesday, April 14th, 2026, at 6:40 PM

These tickets were generously donated by Tickets for Kids Charities, and we’re grateful to be able to share them with our families at no cost!

To help as many families as possible enjoy these experiences, we encourage those who have recently attended with Autism Tree to allow others a chance to sign up.

Please note that submitting a request form does not guarantee a ticket, as all reservations are processed strictly on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to limited availability, we will only contact you if your request is approved and a ticket has been successfully secured for you and your family.

The AT Dancers with Heart Program brings together children with autism and their peers through the joy of movement, music, and expression. This inclusive dance program provides a safe and encouraging environment where every child can shine, build confidence, and experience the power of connection through dance.

Led by compassionate volunteers and dance mentors, participants explore rhythm, coordination, and self-expression while forming meaningful friendships. Each session focuses on fun, creativity, and celebrating every child’s unique way of moving.

Dancers with Heart isn’t about perfect steps — it’s about joy, confidence, and belonging.

TVIA Flag Football Clinic (04/18/2026)

Come kick off a joyful, welcoming, and inclusive soccer experience built just for Autism-Tree families! The TVIA Flag Football Clinic offers a safe, low-pressure space where kids of all abilities can explore the game of football, stay active, practice coordination, and most importantly—have fun!

Our clinic is powered by caring teen volunteers who bring energy, patience, encouragement, and big smiles to every activity. While they aren’t professional coaches, they are here to support, play alongside participants, celebrate progress, and create positive moments on and off the field.

Families are invited to cheer, relax, connect with one another, and enjoy a community space that is understanding, affirming, and supportive.

NOTE: Autism Tree was founded on a pay-it-forward model - if we help you, we ask that you help the next family! :) Since 2003, all programs and events have been provided at no cost to any of our families and only made possible by our incredible volunteers and community partners. For this reason, NO SHOW/NO CALLS WILL NOT BE TOLERATED! Please contact our team at least 24 hours prior to the event if you need to cancel. Failure to contact our team for cancellation will result in your family being placed on a NO SHOW list and will not be permitted to register for ANY events for 3 months from the time of no show/late cancellation (our team will remove you from any future RSVP lists).

USD Baseball Game for AT Families (04/19/2026)

Your family is invited to join Autism Tree in cheering on the USD Baseball Team at their home games! Each Autism Tree family is paired with a specific player mentor to cheer on during the season, and will be invited to attend all the home games to develop a relationship with these amazing and kind athletes. Watch the game together with other AT families and do optional arts and crafts or play games on the mini-field with our volunteers during the game. Kids will be able to run the bases, play catch, and meet their assigned baseball player mentors on Fowler Field for up to an hour after the game. Your kid with autism doesn't have to like sports - they can just love supporting their player!
