Special thank you to Nathan Gravitz, Point Loma Nazarene University Master's of Health Science graduate student, for being the catalyst behind this event! Your family is invited to join Autism Tree in cheering on the USD Baseball Team at their home games! Each Autism Tree family is paired with a specific player mentor to cheer on during the season, and will be invited to attend all the home games to develop a relationship with these amazing and kind athletes. Watch the game together with other AT families and do optional arts and crafts or play games on the mini-field with our volunteers during the game. Kids will be able to run the bases, play catch, and meet their assigned baseball player mentors on Fowler Field for up to an hour after the game. Your kid with autism doesn't have to like sports - they can just love supporting their player!
NOTE: If you do not think your family can stay for the whole game, we recommend arriving an hour to 30 minutes before game time ends (if game starts at 1 PM, it finishes at 4 PM - arrive at 3 or 3:30 PM). If you plan on arriving later than the start of the game, please indicate it on your RSVP to let our team know to make proper accommodations.
NOTE: Autism Tree was founded on a pay-it-forward model - if we help you, we ask that you help the next family! :) Since 2003, all programs and events have been provided at no cost to any of our families and only made possible by our incredible volunteers and community partners. For this reason please contact our team at least 24 hours prior to the event if you need to cancel. Failure to contact our team for cancellation will result in your family being placed on a NO SHOW list and will not be permitted to register for ANY events for 3 months from the time of no show/late cancellation (our team will remove you from any future RSVP lists).

Please save the date and join us for our Autism Tree Annual Hybrid Global Neurodiversity Conference at the Sanford Consortium for Regenerative Medicine in La Jolla, CA on Friday, November 8, 2024!
This conference is a day-long collaboration that brings light to new groundbreaking research on the science of neurodiversity with the intention to create a heart connection between families with a neurodiverse loved one and the global neuroscience community, including a panel on international Autism at Work initiatives and panel discussion on neurodiversity from adults on the autism spectrum living successful lives.
When Autism Tree created this event in 2015, we designed it to not be your ordinary scientific meeting, but rather an encounter of people with various backgrounds and open-minds who care about autistic individuals and the neurodiverse community. We are interested in different global perspectives, so the meeting is attended by top scientists, international researchers, families, professionals, therapists, and local media.
The Autism Tree Annual Neurodiversity Conference is chaired by Alysson R. Muotri, PhD. of the Sanford Consortium for Regenerative Medicine and moderated by Dr. Brian Boyd, Director of the Frank Porter Graham Child Development Institute. It will be recorded and posted by the University of California Television (UCTV).
Founded in 2003, Autism Tree is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to improving autism communities around the world and benefits the entire family.
THIS CONFERENCE IS FREE TO ATTEND BUT YOU MUST REGISTER ONLINE
